How to Create B2B, FBM and DTC Shipments in the Portal

This guide will walk you through the steps of creating Business to Business (B2), Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), and Direct to Customer (DTC) orders in the Portal.

STEP 1: Log in to the Prep It Pack It Ship It portal.


STEP 2: Navigate to the "Outbound Shipments" tab and select "New Shipment" to proceed.



STEP 3: Select the "Shipment Name/Description" field, then enter a title with either B2B, FBM or DTC, followed by your customer's name. Title example: "DTC - (Customer Name)"


STEP 4: Select the "Shipment Notes" field, and enter the customer's address and any instructions.


STEP 5: Select "Create Shipment"



STEP 6: Select "Add Items".



STEP 7: Find the Item in the drop-down list, or by using the search option. 


STEP 8: Select the "Plus" button to add the item to the shipment. 



STEP 9: Enter the number of units to be shipped. Leave the Expiry Date field blank.


Continue to add items to the shipment until complete.



STEP 10: Select "Outbound Shipments" to see your DTC Order. Your order is now in the queue for fulfillment by the warehouse. The team members fulfilling your order may add notes or comments, such as the order's tracking number, within the Warehouse Notes field.




Shipping Costs:


We can obtain shipping labels for your order in three different ways:

  1. You upload the shipping label(s) to the attachments function in the order. - Please provide standard 4" x 6" labels in PDF format. Please request package weights and dimensions if needed within the Notes field of the order.
  2. We obtain the label(s) through your Shippo account. - Please let us know in the Notes field to obtain the shipping labels from your Shippo account.
  3. We provide the shipping label(s) from our warehouse UPS account. - If you do not provide shipping labels, we will purchase the labels through our UPS account and charge the shipping cost directly to your Prep It Pack It Ship It account. 

    By default, we ask you to approve the the shipping costs if more than $20.00 for individual units, or more than $50.00 for case-packed cartons. You may request the shipping cost prior to us fulfilling the order by adding this to the Notes field.
